For Women and Men of All Skin types

cutera_excel-300x231Thanks to the Cutera Excel, you can say goodbye to unsightly spider veins to the face and body. Using cutting edge technology, we can safely and effectively treat tiny superficial blood vessels or deeper blue leg veins in women and men of all skin tones.

The Cutera Excel difference

The Cutera Excel laser combines the ideal wavelength and customizable parameters to deliver a system that is considered best-in-class. This laser treats a broad range of unsightly vascular lesions quickly, safely, and effectively in as little as one to two treatments.

How does the Excel Vein Therapy Work?

The Cutera Excel or Xeo system delivers a pulse of energy at an optimal wavelength that is absorbed by the blood inside the blood vessel and causes them to coagulate, eventually destroying the blood vessel. This treated blood vessel is later absorbed by your body and the blood flow is redirected to deeper veins below your skin that are not visible.

How many treatments will I need?

Often our patients find that one or two treatments are sufficient for permanent treatment of these blood vessels. However the number of treatments can depend on several factors such as the number, color, depth, and size of the vessels being treated. Certainly individual results vary, but Dr. Vasquez or his qualified staff can provide you with thorough evaluation and recommendation.

Do the treatments hurt?

Most patients describe a snapping or stinging sensation during the delivery of the pulses of energy. Typically no local anesthetic or pain medication is needed and the pain is minimal or non-existent.

What are possible side effects?

Although most people report few side effects, the most sequelae are localized swelling or reddening. These side effects usually last for less than 24 hours. Some patients may experience some bruising, or more rarely, blistering. Our staff will discuss any potential risks and benefits.

When will I see results?

Most people find that the majority of treated blood vessels show significant improvement within two to six weeks. Your final results may not be evident for several months. Over time, it is possible for new blood vessels to appear, but these can usually be treated in the same manner.
